After a decade of work with the U. S. Department of Justice, our Maine Weed & Seed sites are inviting communities to share in our efforts of growing safe and vibrant communities throughout Maine.
If you are engaged in solving Maine’s most pressing social challenges and are a:
» Law Enforcement Professional
» Business Leader
» Member of a Non-Profit or Government Agency
» Community Volunteer
» Social Entrepreneur
» Philanthropist
You will not want to miss this 2-day event. Maine has an interesting mix of limited funding resources combined with unique and diverse assets. As competition increases for those resources, communities must look beyond traditional types of support to find solutions that will sustain social impact into the future.
This intensive, 2-day conference will help communities find creative ways to access resources. Individuals representing a range of public and private sectors from across the state will work together identifying common challenges, prioritizing effective solutions and exploring ways to creatively sustain the impact of community-driven initiatives.
Participants will learn new tools and skills for program development and sustainability through plenary sessions and small group workshops offered by successful community leaders.
